Is your child struggling with reading?
I can help!
The struggle is real,
but it doesn't have to be.
Whether you have a preschooler who is just learning letters and letter sounds or a second grader who is struggling to read on-level texts, here at Rainbow Treehouse your child will have an individualized plan that meets them where they're at and is focused on what they need and what their interests are.
Our mission at Rainbow Treehouse is to empower your child to become a confident and fluent reader using the research-based Science of Reading principles.
Who Am I?
Hi! I'm Elizabeth, an early literacy and reading tutor for grades Pre-K through 2nd Grade.
I've been working with children for over ten years, providing childcare, tutoring services, and teaching online small group classes. I am passionate about helping children learn to read and bridging the reading gap for all children.
I follow the research-based science of reading principles, including teaching
oral language, phonological awareness and phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading/language comprehension, and writing. I'm committed to helping your child learn the basic literacy skills they need to succeed in their reading journey.
I use high-quality materials and individualize each tutoring lesson to fit your child's specific learning needs.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing/English, and I'm currently working on an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
I also consistently keep up-to-date with information on best practices for teaching reading and I am continually seeking to educate myself so that I can be the best educator I can be to serve families just like yours.
